I finished this months ago but I didn't hang it up in the nursery until last week...b/c I'm lazy that way. I think the crocheted edging on the flowers turned out pretty darn cute!
Ignore the husband goofing off and trying to disrupt my photo shoot.
I would start another quilt but I'm all out of inspiration right now...I need ideas...!

Dresses
I've had this Patricia Bravo fabric laying around for ages. Every once in awhile I'd pick it up, love it, and admire it...but then it went right back on the shelf. So FINALLY, I decided I needed to do something. I came up with this:
I used this PATTERN and added length to turn it in to a dress...also added a sash around the waist.
I used this LINK to make this dress. The pattern is for a shirt but I modified it, adding length for a dress.
The other dress I followed this PATTERN to the letter...although it probably took me 90 minutes instead of the 1 hr.
Seriously, I have a new respect for photographers of child models...my kids cannot stay still for more than one nanosecond. It's pathetic but these pics are the best I have.

Bobble Dresses
When I saw this pattern HERE, I knew I had try it...in puke green (b/c every girl always dreams of wearing a puke green dress, right?!) The original pattern fit my middle child. I added a scalloped edge b/c I wanted more length...plus it's pretty. Then I made up a pattern for a bobble beanie to match. After making one dress/beanie, I realized my other 2 girls needed one also. So then I adjusted the original pattern to fit my other girls...the results were so, so cute.
Maybe when I have the time I can post the pattern for my bobble beanie for my 2 crocheting followers out there...!

Girls Room
Now that we renting there's not a lot we can do about the walls and window coverings...but the girls really wanted an animal safari room, in turqoise. Initially I thought, impossible! However, thanks to Michael Miller and his Zoology fabric line...we found turquoise (mixed in with black, grey, puke green, and yellow). So now I present to you, the turquoise animal safari themed bedroom:
Recognize the dresser? It's IKEA...I've developed a great appreciation for IKEA since moving to Australia. I found a lady on Etsy that cut me some vinyl stickers of animal prints and then I framed them (in IKEA frames). And I love this puke green bird cage I found at a random housewares store- doesn't mix w/the safari theme but b/c it was the perfect puke green color I had to have it!
Overall bedding shot. Every girl dreams of having a zebra print and puke green colored throw...ha ha. Actually, my girls really do love their new bedding. The girls love their bunkbeds! The worst thing about bunkbeds is changing the sheets on the top bunk.
I made these pillows...I especially love the monogrammed one's...too cute.
So that's pretty much it. I have a vinyl sticker giraffe growth chart that will go on one of the walls but I'm still waiting for it to arrive in the mail...now, if only I could do something about those nasty blue-lacey drapes...

Nursery #2
So she's really not a baby anymore but I went ahead and made another crib bumper and quilt...the quilt is still being machine quilted- so pics on that later. But here's a pic of the bumper (even though she doesn't really need one):
Don't you just love the Alexander Henry print? Those birds are darling...

Crochet Mania
With my sewing machine, fabric, and supplies on a ship for the last 3 months...I've been a crocheting maniac.
Here's a baby blanket I made for my sister's baby. I ran out of yarn when I was making the border...luckily I was able to find some yarn that matches.
I'm crocheting dresses for the girls...pics will come later when I'm finished. However, I decided that matching beanies would look great and made up a pattern. Love the way this puke green beanie turned out- those bobbles are so cute!
I'm embarrassed to admit that I probably have a good 20-30 beanies scattered throughout our house. At least we're prepared for winter! The kiddo's picked out this rainbow yarn at Hobby Lobby right before we moved...

Blessing Dress
I've been MIA for a couple of months. Mostly because things have become crazy with our upcoming move to Australia (oh yeah, sorry if you didn't know...but we're moving in a few weeks). So I've put aside all of my projects for now...although I did finish up my sister's blessing dress- it took forever to crochet but it turned out pretty. I couldn't believe I forgot to take pics of it before giving to her- so I asked her to email me some pics- thanks sis!
So I'll probably be MIA for a couple months longer until my sewing machine, fabric, supplies, etc make it out of our 20 ft shipping container in Australia. Can't wait to scope out all of the fabric stores in Oz!
